As it Happens.... Team AFTON 2/13 - 2/19

How Du! This is what the week looks like for Team Afton.

Crunch time Team Afton!

Giant GS weekend just wrapped up – with our second Junior Champs qualifying round. A great weekend for Team Afton. A word on qualifying…. Quotas – how to approach it? “what do I need to do to qualify?!” We will be publishing a few more thoughts on this subject this week for our U14s and U16s families. Keep a look out.

Sickos… another round of sick skiers this past weekend (and coaches). There’s been a spate of illness rampaging around the cities, and Team Afton is not immune. If you’re sick, exercise some sense and take a night off. Don’t spread it around the clubhouse – and certainly don’t lick the windows!

We have several of special items in store this week – so please review the schedule below.

Paul Augustine Junior Champs is here! – that means we need YOUR help! Connect with annebrust@hotmail.com to see where you can pitch in – this is all hands on deck! REGISTER for the PAJC ASAP TDAY123! Go to: http://teamafton.com/node/99

Transition time…. These two weeks represent a transition of sorts for Team Afton’s seasons. Yes, regular Season, and Spring Season. It’s a good time to try and recharge your batteries. We understand that there’s still a lot of things pulling on your schedules (HS, State, etc) but we do have local races for the next two weekends, so sleeping in your own bed on the weekend is a big plus. Get to bed early and eat right!

STATE! Team Afton has a huge crew of athletes who’ve qualified for the MN State Meet! We wish them all the best of luck – and KikZumBut! Way2Go Team Afton!
